Senseez. To ease the senses.
Senseez began with one child and one practical problem. A mother’s autistic son enjoyed the sensory input from a vibrating mat, but the mat was large, heavy and needed to be plugged in. She wanted something smaller, softer and portable, so the first Senseez prototypes were sewn in a home basement. Senseez launched in 2012 as a practical solution created from a family’s real-life need. The company later expanded into retail stores, educational catalogues, clinics and international markets.
Senseez was born!
In 2019, sisters Terri Duncan and Heather Duncan acquired Senseez and began the company’s next chapter. Terri is a registered speech-language pathologist who has worked with autistic children and their families for more than 30 years. Heather is an educator who has worked with children of all ages for 35 years. Together, Terri and Heather continue to develop practical sensory products that fit naturally into everyday life.
